DANCHÚ is a surrealist artist born in Ibiza (1986). Having lived in Asturias and Tenerife, she pursued her art studies between Switzerland at the Ecole d’Humanite, at the Cyprus College of Art, and in San Francisco at the Academy of Art University in California. She lives and works in Ibiza.

In her art, Danchú weaves intricate tapestries of the mind, blending sacred geometry with her unique surrealist style, imbued with psychedelic echoes.  Using charcoal and oil on recycled wood; she crafts ethereal visions suggesting dream images that transcend the boundaries of the conscious mind. Her inspiration stems from the vertical ascent of mountains, the mysteries of occultism, the myths of ancient tribes and the quantum physics. Renouncing preconceived plans, Danchú surrenders to the flow of creation, allowing the unconscious to guide her hand. With each stroke, she seeks to evoke self-discovery, infinity, unity, and love in her audience fervently believing in humanity’s journey towards these transcendent ideals. 

My artworks are rooted in deep concern about the imbalance currently affecting various species due to human errors that have threatened the planet’s biodiversity. In an attempt to right these wrongs and restore ecological balance, I have immersed myself in exploring specific problems, such as the imbalance between the scale insect and the prickly pear. 

This search has led me to reflect on the importance of understanding the role of parasites and pests in the ecosystem. what are they for? What is its function within a delicate ecological balance? Every element of nature has its place and purpose, and when this balance is disturbed, the consequences can be devastating, with mass deaths of species and the need for a new beginning.
Through my art, I seek to not only highlight these issues, but also encourage reflection and action. It is essential to recognize our responsibility in preserving biodiversity and correcting the errors that have led to the current imbalance. Only through a conscious and ecological approach can we hope to restore harmony to our planet and ensure a sustainable future for all life forms that inhabit it.

DANCHÚ, artista surrealista nacida en Ibiza (1986). Habiendo vivido en Asturias y Tenerife, realizó sus estudios de arte entre Suiza en Ecole d’Humanité, en Chipre College of Art y en San Francisco en la Academy of Art University de California. Vive y trabaja en Ibiza. 

 En su arte, Danchú teje intrincados tapices de la mente, combinando la geometría sagrada con su estilo surrealista único, imbuido de ecos psicodélicos. Utilizando carboncillo y oleo sobre madera reciclada; Crea visiones etéreas que sugieren imágenes oníricas que trascienden los límites de la mente consciente. Su inspiración proviene del ascenso vertical de montañas, los misterios del ocultismo, los mitos de las tribus antiguas y la física cuántica. Renunciando a planes preconcebidos, Danchú se entrega al fluir de la creación, permitiendo que el inconsciente guíe su mano. Con cada trazo, busca evocar el autodescubrimiento, el infinito, la unidad y el amor en su audiencia, que cree fervientemente en el viaje de la humanidad hacia estos ideales trascendentes.

Mis obras de arte están arraigadas en la profunda preocupación por el desequilibrio que actualmente afecta a las diversas especies debido a los errores humanos que han amenazado la biodiversidad del planeta. En un intento por enmendar estos errores y restaurar el equilibrio ecológico, me he sumergido en la exploración de problemas concretos, como el desequilibrio entre la cochinilla y la chumbera. 

Esta búsqueda me ha llevado a reflexionar sobre la importancia de comprender el papel de los parásitos y de plagas en el ecosistema. ¿para que sirven? ¿cuál es su función dentro de un delicado equilibrio ecológico? Cada elemento de la naturaleza tiene su lugar y propósito, y cuando este equilibrio se ve perturbado, las consecuencias pueden ser devastadoras, con muertes masivas de especies y la necesidad de un nuevo comienzo. 

A través de mi arte, busco no solo destacar estos problemas, sino también fomentar la reflexión y la acción. Es fundamental reconocer nuestra responsabilidad en la preservación de la biodiversidad y enmendar los errores que han llevado al desequilibrio actual. Solo mediante un enfoque consciente y ecológico podemos esperar restaurar la armonía en nuestro planeta y garantizar un futuro sostenible para todas las formas de vida que lo habitan.
