SOS COCHICHUMBAS is a group of artists and activists from the island of Ibiza created with the aim of informing and raising awareness about the plague of wild cochineal that is killing the prickly pear cacti, and the prevention and care measures that can be adopted to alleviate it and avoid the extinction of a plant that not only forms part of our landscape heritage and our botanical memory but also has great economic potential in emerging areas that point to a promising future in Spain.
